2020 – Year of the Rat and COVID-19, has been an extremely difficult year with debilitating effects on all fronts in Hong Kong society. As Hong Kong prepares for the 2021 Year of the Cow, LoveXpress Foundation has organized a BuyOne, GiftOne CNY Cake campaign to promote “Charitable Consumption”. When you buy one cake from us, we donate a turnip cake and a pack of masks to a grassroots family/citizen. Our beneficiaries include autistic and low income families, elderly singletons, the homeless and rehabilitating drug abusers.
We are grateful for the assistance of different parties – local farmers and autistic youths growing turnips, leading food factory workshops for cake production, and autistic artist Alvin Li for the Chinese New Year couplet (Fai Chun) and packaging design.
