Li Alvin Tze Shun, 18, was diagnosed to be autistic since early childhood. He was appraised to have severe learning disabilities, devoid of speech and spatial perception.
Tze Shun’s parents did not give up. They incessantly sought different interest activities for their son. By chance, they found an art teacher Artin Wong who discovered that Tze Shun possesses a unique potential in visual memory and colour combination. Under her patient guidance, Tze Shun’s interest and skill in painting developed continually. Art has opened a new chapter of his life and learning takes on a new mode. It helps him discover and depicts his world without speech.
Tze Shun’s art is colourful, rich in details with bursting vitality and deeply impacts the viewer with his simple joy.
