Love · Art – Using paintings as a bridge to let love transcend boundaries

In 2025, LoveXpress will launch a series of activities connecting the Greater Bay Area through “Love · Art” project. Using paintings as a bridge to let love transcend boundaries, this is a painting competition aims to showcase the creativity and talent of individuals with special educational needs. We believe that art knows no limits, and love can be conveyed through the brush, allowing the world to feel every genuine sentiment.

Young artist Li Alvin Tze Shun, who has autism and has won multiple art awards, will kick off the “Love · Art” activities. Through this event, we hope to highlight the creativity and talent of the special education community, deepen public understanding and recognition of individuals with special educational needs, and further promote a more inclusive and supportive society.

Li Alvin Tze Shun was diagnosed to be autistic since early childhood. He was appraised to have severe learning disabilities, devoid of speech and spatial perception. Tze Shun’s parents did not give up. They incessantly sought different interest activities for their son. By chance, they found an art teacher Artin Wong who discovered that Tze Shun possesses a unique potential in visual memory and colour combination. Under her patient guidance, Tze Shun’s interest and skill in painting developed continually. Art has opened a new chapter of his life and learning takes on a new mode. It helps him discover and depicts his world without speech.
